“Most people feel anxious or depressed at times. Losing a loved one, getting fired from a job, going through a divorce, and other difficult situations can lead a person to feel sad, lonely, scared, nervous, or anxious. These feelings are normal reactions to life’s stressors.
But some people experience these feelings daily or nearly daily for no apparent reason, making it difficult to carry on with normal, everyday functioning. These people may have an anxiety disorder, depression, or both.”

Proactive versus Reactive

 

Proactive-Reactive 2-15-17

In so many areas of life, it’s better to be proactive than reactive.  For instance, stay well versus get well.  There are also many areas of life that involve wellness.   There is physical wellness, mental and emotional wellness, financial wellness, and natural and spiritual wellness.  Being proactive in the important areas of life makes us happier, healthier and more prepared.

Some of those important areas of life might be our personal lives and relationships, our home businesses, our friendships, our work or our even recreation.  I need to take the time to reflect on these and sometimes I have to remind myself to do that.  I always feel better when I do.

I have started over so many times, I know exactly where the starting line is. Just stay in the race. Always know where the starting line is. We’re all going to start over and over. It doesn’t matter how much experience or age we have. There’s always a new adventure and something new to learn. mlr

Emotional wellness relates to understanding your feelings and coping effectively with stress. It’s important to pay attention to self-care, stress-reduction and the development of inner resources so you can learn and grow from experiences. This is important when you start a new adventure, also, such as a business working from the luxury of your own home. You still have to learn these things.
