Let’s live our lives on purpose. Let’s know the reasons we do things and the reasons we want things. That becomes the “why” of how we live our lives. When we do this, it helps us to think more clearly about our everyday activities and the roads we take. Our everyday activities are what begin to lay the foundation of our future. Within a decision to start a business that we can do working from the luxury of our own home, change our eating habits to become healthier, change our shopping habits to save money or help the environment, change our reading habits to become a more spiritual person (the list could go on and on, for instance, drinking, cleaning, talking) — within each decision we make, there is a reason (why). Whatever the decision is, it will take some kind of an everyday action to accomplish, so let’s make sure our ‘why’ is strong enough to keep us doing that, because we will need to think about it often. Let’s start today. mlr

Do It On Purpose

Ask Yourself Why

Feb 092016

  • Consistency. Not very glamorous, but it does work effectively.
  • These gems came from business meeting Monday: We can have results or excuses, not both.

Three things to ask ourselves: 1) Am I slightly uncomfortable, stretching to develop new habits?
2) Am I consistently engaged in correct activities?
3) Am I consistently adhering to the same principles, course or form?
If you have a home business or even if you are trying to develop some new habits, try these things. They work!
SET A NEW PATTERN.

  • My friends at The Garage Personal Training are having their one-year anniversary! Stop by and say hi, see demos, get motivated. I plan on stopping by and doing all of the above and I’m looking forward to seeing Darien Mathews and Anthony L Fisher!
  • You are the master of your own ship.
  • Tomorrow is today. Giddy-up.

There is a reason why I am “MrsProfQuack” on Twitter and elsewhere.  Obviously, if I’m MrsProfQuack, then my husand is ProfQuack!  Suffice it to say that in our younger married life, for various reasons, (including quacking)  my husband became known to the little ones in our family as ProfQuack.  It stuck.   So, here we are!  :)

“Thank you Jamie for the important question about transfer factor and the Zika virus. I was asked this question by one of my distributors from India. Below you will find my response.

Hi Jay,

Yes I believe transfer factors will be very useful in helping the immune system destroy the virus quickly.

The Zika virus belongs to the Flaviviridae family and genus Flavivirus and is related to the dengue, yellow fever, Japanese encephalitis and West Nile viruses.

Snce the virus is spead by mosquitoes, the mosquitoes bite cows and chickens. The West Nile virus is very wide spread in the USA. This means there is a very good chance that some of our cows and chickens have transfer factors programmed to recognize a relative of the Zika virus. Since transfer factors do not have to have an exact match of the antigens of a virus (like antibodies do) then transfer factors have the potential to recognize any related virus to the West Nile virus.

Also the Zika virus has already mutated some according to a study by the group of scientist listed below and published in BioRxvi.

The key to the immune system response is recognition and how quick the response is. Transfer factors help the immune system skip the normal process of macrophages bumping into a foreign invader, consuming it and presenting it to another immune system cell type such as the CD4. Then the antigen is presented to B cells that manufacture antibodies that roam the body searching for a match and then attaching itself to the virus and signaling other  ” immune cells such as Natural Killer cells to destroy the viruses.

Transfer factors skip this process and bump into a virus and directly alert other immune system cells to come to the kill as well as cause B cells to produce antibodies to join the fight.

There are no studies on transfer factors and the Zika virus. This is my personal theory.

Now keep in mind that transfer factors do not treat or cure the Zika infection but alerts the immune system to do its job. The FDA has not evaluated these statements and do not normally evaluate statements concerning nutritional products before they are made.

The faster the immune system recognizes a virus and kills the viruses the better. Thank you for the question. Be blessed. Mike

Had a great time yesterday talking to the students in the Young Entrepreneurs Academy, in conjunction with South Mountain Community College and the Ahwatukee Foothills Chamber of Commerce. We talked about E-commerce! They have wonderful ideas and plans in the works. So much to look forward to. Good job!

Some of the things we talked about were:

THE WEB AND MY BUSINESS.
If I did not have a web presence, no one would know about my website.  RobardsHealthyLifestyles.com has gotten most of it’s exposure from social networking.
Having a company website has allowed people to see what I do and what I offer from many platforms, for instance, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google +.
Managing a website takes consistent work and effort.   You have to keep it updated.

  • Understand Your Customers.

Describe your customers’ needs and wishes.  You must know what your customers are looking for.  For instance, my customers are looking for health and wellness information and products.
What do Walmart shoppers want and need?
Food, clothes, auto supplies.
They can go the store to buy, but can also order online. They can get store hours and numbers online.

  •  Keep the Main Page Simple.

Keep the main page simple.  Need the ‘Title’, an ‘About’ link, a ‘Contact’ link, and ‘Categories’.  Use RHL and goop as examples.
Keep it clean.  Simple is clean.  Clean and non-cluttered helps the people who are looking at it find what they need.  Also keep it free from bad language, illegal activities, and pornography.   Don’t use copy-writed materials.
